Southwest Airlines is being sued by a Phoenix-based flight attendant who accuses the airline of retaliation after reporting two pilots live-streaming video from airplane bathroom.
Renee Steinaker reports that while in the cockpit with the co-pilot Ryan Russell, Capt. Terry Graham left to use the restroom. It was during those few minutes in the cockpit that she observed an iPad mounted on the windshield and observed Capt. Graham using the restroom.
After reporting the incident, Steinaker and fellow flight attendants were told to keep quiet about the incident and both her and her husband, who is also a flight attendant for Southwest, were subjected to stalking, threats and multiple performance audits.
Southwest Airline Statement
“The safety and security of our employees and customers is Southwest’s uncompromising priority. As such, Southwest does not place cameras in the lavatories of our aircraft. At this time, we have no other comment on the pending litigation.“
